The Aberfeldy Practice is making changes to the way you can book a GP appointment. We know many of our patients value booking an appointment with a GP on the same day. However, due to changes to our contract imposed by the Government and NHS England, it is no longer feasible to continue operating with the same system.
We will soon be introducing a Total Online Triage system. This means all GP appointments will need to be requested using the online consultation form on our website. Your online consultation form will be reviewed by a GP within 1 working day. Please note that the outcome of your request will be either a routine telephone call or a face-to-face appointment.
If your problem is urgent then you will be prioritised on the same day. There are no changes to how you book an appointment with a Nurse or a Health Care Assistant. This change is part of our commitment to provide safer and better care to our patients. We appreciate your support and understanding as we make this transition.
The practice participation group is meeting on the 23rd of April at 5:30 PM to discuss the changes.
