Request GP Appointments
The Aberfeldy Practice is soon moving to a Total online triage system. This means all GP appointments will need to be requested using the online consultation form on our website. A Doctor will review your request within 1 working day.
Please note that the outcome of your request will be as follows:
- Telephone consultation
- Face to Face consultation
- General Advice via phone, email or SMS
- Referral to Pharmacy where appropriate
- Appointment at an out of hours clinic where appropriate
If your problem is urgent, then you will be prioritised on the same day. Please submit sufficient information about your medical problem, as this will help us ensure you are offered the right care by the most appropriate clinician. If you require an interpreter please mention this on the AccuRx form.
If you are a patient who is unable to complete the online form due to accessbility issues, please do not worry. Our reception team is here to help you over the telephone and in person at the reception desk.
Important note: If you are travelling abroad for holiday or work purposes and require medical treatment, you will need to seek medical advice locally. By law the NHS ceases to have responsibility for the medical care of patients once they leave the UK.

You can call the practice to book an appointment with a Nurse or a Health Care Assistant and the Phlebotomist for routine care.
Pharmacy First
Our patient assistance team will signpost you to the pharmacy first if you suffer from any of the symptoms in the video below. This way, we can ensure that GPs’ time is freed up to provide care for more complex cases. You can walk into any pharmacies offering pharmacy-first services or contact us to refer you directly to a pharmacy of your choice.
The key benefits of Pharmacy first :
- Skip the queue to book an appointment with a GP
- Walk into any pharmacy without an appointment
- You no longer need to speak to a GP for a prescription
- Medications issued and dispensed at the pharmacy after your consultation
Cancelling an appointment
Please help us to help you by always cancelling appointments when you can’t attend! Our cancellation line is 020 7515 5622. We can always use the appointment for someone else.
Travelling to your appointment
Wherever possible, we recommend an active form of travel. This simply means making journeys in physically active ways - it includes walking, people using wheelchairs, cycling (including e-bikes) to name a few.
Remember – its good for you and it’s good for the planet!
Alternatively use public transport or if this is not an option there is limited on street parking (payment required).
Urgent or Emergency Care
If you need urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, please call NHS 111.
In a medical emergency, always dial 999.
